Oracle autonomous Linux anounced in OOW2019

Oracle announce in Oracle Open World 2019 the 1st and only autonomous OS in the Oracle GEN2 cloud along with autonomous Oracle DB announce 2 years ago.

Oracle autonomous cloud linux has:

  • automatic provisioning,
  • automatic scalling,
  • automatic tunning,
  • automatic online patching and updating,
  • automatic security monitoring and remediation

Oracle offers GEN2 cloud infrastructure, which is fully autonomous. This ensures security, stability without the need of human intervention into the cloud. Oracle announced partnership with Microsoft Azure for better interconnection and integration with Azure application. Second strategic partnership is with VMWare what enables efficient migration of virtual servers into gen2 oracle cloud. Oracle promised elasticity and dynamic allocation of resources without the need of downtime of the cloud.
